Program Objectives

• Use authoritative guidelines and best evidence for the management of patients with acute coronary syndrome
• Apply 2026 ACC/AHA/SHM PE guideline to risk stratify and treat patients with acute pulmonary embolism
• Decrease number for days on IV antibiotics for patients with bacteremia to facilitate earlier discharge
• Initiate and titrate opioid analgesics for opioid naïve patients and patients on chronic opioids who present with severe pain
• Apply a structured approach to the evaluation and correction of hyponatremia and hypernatremia
