Seeking MACP or FACP Candidates for the Next NYACP Bronx/Manhattan Governor

Are you an MACP or FACP and interested in a leadership role?  If you live or work in the Bronx or Manhattan districts, you can possibly be considered for the next Governor position for the region!

The ACP national office will be conducting a Governor-elect election. The Local Nominations Committee is responsible for identifying two final candidates who are willing and able to serve a 4-year term (April 2027 - April 2031), in addition to a year of training as Governor-elect (April 2026 - April 2027). We are looking for a dynamic leader who exhibits integrity, shows commitment to the College, and demonstrates dedication to the Chapter and the medical community.

The successful candidate will work with NYACP members locally and with leaders in internal medicine at the national level. The Governor typically spends several hours per week on College business with the support of executive administrative staff. Serving as an ACP Governor can be an extremely rewarding and life-changing experience. Listen to the humbling experience of Daniel Pomerantz, MD, MPH, MACP, former NYACP President and Governor, Hudson Valley Region.
