Join NYACP’s Town Hall for a hands-on advocacy session! Marc Craw, Senior Director of Government Affairs at MLMIC Insurance Company, will provide a brief overview of the Wrongful Death/Grieving Families Act. NYACP leaders will then guide you step by step in sending a call-to-action message urging Governor Hochul to veto the bill. Stay for updates, discussion, and Q&A to learn additional ways to make your voice heard.

Back by popular demand! After a highly engaging and well-received session last fall, this unique program returns to explore clinical experience through the medium of popular music. No prior knowledge of music theory, popular culture, or writing experience is required.
ACP Well-Being Champion Dr. Daniel Pomerantz and Assistant Dean of Health Humanities at Albany Medical College Dr. Megan Gerber will use two Taylor Swift songs to inspire reflection on how we tell our own stories.
Close Listening and Discussion:
Participants will listen closely to “This Is Me Trying” from Taylor Swift’s Folklore and “It’s Time to Go,” a bonus track from her Evermore album. Discussion will focus on how these songs tell stories, how they resonate personally, and how they help us connect with our own experiences.
Reflective Writing and Sharing:
Following the discussion, attendees will engage in a guided reflective writing exercise, with time for those who wish to share their reflections with the group.
This session will not be recorded.

This event is open to members and non-members.
